Every Golden RetrieverDeserves a Loving Home
The Golden Project Rescue, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to rescuing Golden Retrievers from backyard breeders, owner surrenders, and strays. We provide compassionate veterinary care, safe foster homes, and forever families who will cherish them.
Our Three Pillars of Compassion
The Golden Project Rescue operates through three interconnected programs that work together to rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome Golden Retrievers in need. Each pillar is essential to fulfilling our mission of giving every Golden a second chance at a happy, healthy life.
Rescue Operations
We rescue Golden Retrievers from dire situations including backyard breeders, owner surrenders, and stray circumstances. Our dedicated team coordinates with shelters, law enforcement, and community partners across multiple states to identify dogs in need and bring them to safety. Every rescue begins with a thorough assessment to ensure each dog receives the individualized care plan they deserve.
Foster & rehabilitate
Our foster families open their hearts and homes to provide a safe, nurturing environment where rescued Goldens can heal and thrive. During their stay, each dog receives personalized attention, socialization, basic training, and the unconditional love they may have never experienced before. Our foster program is the bridge between rescue and a forever home.
Veterinary Care
Every dog that enters our program receives comprehensive veterinary care including vaccinations, spay/neuter surgery, dental work, treatment for parasites, and any necessary medical procedures. We partner with trusted veterinary clinics to address both immediate health concerns and long-term wellness, ensuring each Golden is healthy and ready for their new family.
Numbers That Tell Our Story
Behind every number is a real dog with a real story of hope and recovery. Our impact grows every day thanks to the unwavering support of our donors, volunteers, and community partners. Together, we are making a measurable difference in the lives of Golden Retrievers across the nation.
